Rational
The authors wanted the cover to reflect the development of Panama around the Canal, as well as a representation of the different ethnic groups that make up the social structure of the country. We chose a clean style of illustration to draw a landscape of the Canal with a few lines, and included children of different ethnicities sharing and playing on the same space.

"Panama is a small, open, and dollarized economy that grew rapidly - 6.5 percent on average - between 2010 and 2018. In 2018, Panama's per capita income reached US $ 13,100 (crossing the World Bank's high-income threshold). Rapid capital accumulation accounts for the majority of Panama's economic growth."
